  • Very Narrow widths below 9mm are easier to slit without a liner, and the tape is easier to apply in a continuous motion without the need to remove the liner.
  • ET23816SW is designed to withstand both the punishing abrasion of grit blasting and the extreme temperatures / pressures associated with the plasma spray process.
  • ET23816SW has a high- te,temperature silicone adhesive, which allows the product to withstand temperatures up to 315 °C during the coating process.
  • ET23816SW tape has excellent strength and flexibility, which allows for easy wrapping of complex shapes and minimises wrinkling during the flexing of cable.

  • ET23816SW is used in the plasma spray process - a method of applying thin coatings of metal or high-temperature ceramics to a surface.
  • The coating is sprayed at a high pressure and at extreme temperatures. The tape is placed adjacent to areas of the parts, which are to be plasma sprayed.
  • ET23816SW tape protects these areas both from grit blasting, which is used as a surface preparation, and from the actual plasma spray coating.
  • The aerospace industry is the prime market for the use of plasma spray tapes, specifically, jet engine manufacturers, overhaul centres, major airline maintenance centres, Air Force Bases, and Navel Air Rework facilities (NARF'S).
